The datasets published on the LMG ODP are a public resource available to anyone with internet access. All datasets remain the property of the publishing entity and public users acquire no ownership rights to datasets. The public use of the datasets may include development of applications. In this case, the developers retain all intellectual property ownership in their applications, excluding the data itself, whose ownership continues to reside with the publishing entity. Application developers and any other third-party entities must explicitly identify the source, version, and modifications made to a dataset, should they publicly re-publish it elsewhere or incorporate the dataset into an application.
The publishing entity is responsible for all aspects of the quality, integrity, and security of the dataset contents and as subject to limitations on liability contained in the Mayor’s Open Data Executive Order. The publishing entity is also responsible for maintaining records of information privacy status and public-disclosure requirements. Datasets may be updated, corrected, overwritten and/or refreshed at any time and without notice. The anticipated update frequency is indicated for each dataset on the site. Older versions of datasets will not be retained.
Datasets made available on the LMG ODP are provided for informational purposes. LMG and the publishing entities do not warranty the completeness, accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular purpose or use of any dataset made available on the LMG ODP, nor are any such warranties to be implied or inferred with respect to the datasets furnished therein. LMG is not liable for any deficiencies in the completeness, accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular purpose or use of any dataset, or application utilizing such dataset, provided by any third-party.
